Find out what SSPs are and how they can support all pupils as they learn to read. What we’ll cover:

  • SSPs explained: what they are and why they work
  • Consistency: why following a planned progression matters
  • Matched reading books: how using fully decodable books, matched to the progression develops children’s confidence
  • Assessment: how to keep all pupils on track and implement daily practice routines to help them catch-up
  • Teacher training: supporting schools new to an SSP and on-going CPD

Presented by Sarah Paxton, Programme Developer, Little Wandle for Letters and Sounds Revised.

(While our speaker for this session is from Little Wandle who are an SSP provider, this session is designed as an information presentation regarding SSPs, not a sales presentation.)

This session is for AHDS members and is free to attend. The session will run from 4 - 5pm.
