Dyscalculia: Identification and Support

This Education Scotland-led Time to Think session will explore dyscalculia in the Scottish context. It will provide an opportunity to consider the identification process, recognise indicators that a learner may require further support, and reflect on inclusive approaches that can help children and young people experiencing persistent difficulties with number sense and numeracy.

The session will also include an update on Additional Support Needs (ASN) and current CIC developments, helping participants to situate dyscalculia within the wider national context for inclusion and support. The session will support professional reflection on identifying needs early and ensuring appropriate support is in place for learners.

Session presented by Frances Foreman, Senior Education Officer, Education Scotland

This session is for AHDS members and is free to attend. Starting at 4pm this session will last for around 45 minutes.
