Education reform: Centre of Teaching Excellence

Jenny Gilruth MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, has announced today that a new 'Centre of Teaching Excellence' will be developed along as part of education reforms.

This aligns with the direction of travel in discussions to date about the development of a new agency to replace Education Scotland (with HMIe once again becoming a standalone inspectorate).  We look forward to continuing to work with the Scottish Government and Education Scotland to help define the role of the new organisation as plans emerge.
