We offer two categories of membership.
Full Membership
For members who are employed as Headteachers, Deputes and Principal Teachers (and those formerly in those roles).
Membership is £20 per month payable by Direct Debit. Rate held since 1st July 2008.
PT Membership (acting and substantive) is £15 per month payable by Direct Debit. Rate introduced from 1st April 2022.
Part time subscription rates have been introduced from December 2022. All those working 0.6FTE or less receive 40% reduction in their subscription rates: £9 for PTs and £12 for all other roles.
AHDS works with Go Cardless for the administration of the Direct Debit mandate.
Associate Membership
For former members who would like to continue to be kept up to date with developments through our magazine ‘Head to Head’. As an Associate Member you can also attend local meetings, Annual Conference and take advantage of membership benefits as they arise (although no legal or professional insurance cover is included).
Associate Members rate is £80.00 p.a.
Maternity & Adoption Leave
Whilst on maternity or adoption leave, subscription payments are suspended. We need the date your maternity or adoption leave starts and your anticipated return to work date as well as a home email and postal address. Please contact the office on info@ahds.org.uk to initiate this.
How to Join
All membership applications are made online through this website and as part of this process a Direct Debit mandate is required. Membership applications will not be processed until the mandate is completed.
